Abstract

Background: Electronic Learning has received widespread acceptance in recent years due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. It appears that there is universal agreement that the worldwide e-learning market will show fast and significant growth over the next three years. Aim: The study set out to recognize the perceptions of nursing students about E-learning. In selected private nursing colleges at Khartoum State-Sudan. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional design. The study includes (230) students which had been selected by stratified sampling technique. A self-administered questionnaire was used for data collection, Data analysis was done using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS version 26) and the results were presented in descriptive and numerical forms as well as cross tables. Results: Findings revealed a high level of perception about online classes. The study explains that the majority of the study population has the technology to access the E – learning materials. While 85.7%of the study population knows the definition of eLearning correctly. The data indicated that a third of the study population downloaded materials of E-learning platform very easily a mean (3.88). The study justifies that less than fifty percent of the study population mentioned that the language of the module & courses is easy to understand with the mean (3.26). Conclusion: The study depicts that nursing students had a positive disposition toward eLearning. The study revealed that e-learning has benefited from a student’s perception, it has a positive influence on their performance with a better understanding of their courses.
