في هذه الورقة، استقصي الباحث مفهوم العقل وقيمته في الإسلام؛ فقد جعل الله عز وجل العقل مناط تشريف وتكريم الإنسان، وجعله سببا لتميزه عن سائر المخلوقات، وتتلخص أهمية الموضوع في أنه كلما زادت مكانة الإنسان العقلية والعلمية؛ كلَّما زاد انتفاعه المعرفي وانكشفت له دلائل أكثر وأدق وأعمق في هذا الكون، فالعقلاء كلما تأملوا في هذا الكون الكبير المنتظم إبداعاً وروعة تجدد عندهم في كل تأمل جديد برهان جديد يشير إلى عظمة الخالق. وقف الباحثان في هذا البحث على مكانة العقل في الإسلام ووظائفه، وأفردا مساحة للحديث عن العقل في الخطاب القرآني، ولتحقيق المرامي التي سعى إليها اتبع المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال اسلوبي الاستنباط والاستقراء، ومن أهم النتائج التي خلص اليها البحث أن الدين قد أحاط العقل بالرعاية والعناية وأمر بالحفاظ عليه، وجعله مناط التكليف لدى الإنسان، كما جعله وسيلة فهم نصوص الوحي وما اشتملت عليه من أحكام مختلفة؛ وأن العقل السليم هو المسؤول عن كيفية تطبيق هذه النصوص، لأنه وسيلة الفهم لكل من النص والواقع الذي يراد إنزال النص فيه. وأن الإنسان إذا ما فقد هذه الملكة العقلية تسقط عنه أهلية التكليف. وأن العقل هو إحدى الضرورات الخمس التي لا تكون الحياة في الأرض مستقرة ولا قائمة بدون حفظها. وهي: الدين، والنفس، والعقل، والنسل، والمال.

In this research entitled: (Maximizing the Mind, Its Value and Functions; and its Place in Islam), the researcher investigated the concept of reason and its value in Islam; Allah the Almighty has made reason the object of honoring and honoring man The importance of the subject is that the greater the mental and scientific status of man, the greater his cognitive utilization and the more accurate and deeper evidence is revealed to him in this universe, the more rational people contemplate this large, regular universe with creativity and magnificence that renews in each new meditation a new proof that points to the greatness of the Creator The researcher in this research stood on the place of reason in Islam and its functions, and devoted a space to talk about reason in the Qur’anic discourse, and to achieve the goals he sought to follow the descriptive and analytical approach through the methods of deduction and induction, and one of the most important findings of the research is that religion has surrounded the mind with care and care and ordered its preservation. He made it the mandate of man, as well as the means of understanding the texts of revelation and the various provisions contained therein; and that sound reason is responsible for how these texts are applied, because it is the means of understanding both the text and the reality in which the text is to be lowered. If a person loses this mental queen, he loses the capacity to be commissioned.,
